IDENTIFYING PARTS of EXPRESSIONS - a color by number activity

STUDENTS LOVE TO COLOR and students need to be able to recognize the vocabulary we use every day in our classroom. This is a great activity to review the words relating to expressions; words like terms, constants, variables, factors and coefficients.. This resource is useful in stations, assigned as an individual challenge, or with an intervention group/individual.
-----------------------------------
Includes:
THREE worksheets of ten questions that require students to identify the parts of the given expression.
THREE different seasonal graphic designs with numbers that correspond to the answers from the worksheet.
Solutions for both the worksheet and the correctly colored design.
-----------------------------------
Print one page for every student.
Instruct students to first identify the parts of the expressions underlined in each mathematical expression.
They can then use the number of the problem and the correct term to color the spaces in the design.
Check their work. If their answers are correct, the design will match the included solution. If not... they will still have an interesting design.
-----------------------------------
Assign this activity for early finishers, in math centers, or as a follow-up / review challenge after students have mastered the skill, identifying properties of real numbers.
-----------------------------------
This resource would make a great display ..... an easy bulletin board idea.
This resource is great as an anchor activity or differentiation activity to engage and challenge a variety of learners.
