Product Description
Levels of Behavior (LOB) is a PBIS Focused behavior teaching framework that engages students to develop understandings of behavior and consequence in the school setting.

Research recognises that the teaching of expected behavior is an essential and integral part of effective behavior support for students (Gresham, 1998; Kauffman, 1999; Lewis & Sugai, 1999; Mayer, 1995; Walker, Horner, Sugai, et al, 1996).

Effective teachers teach and view the learning of classroom behavior in the same way as they view literacy and numeracy.
These teachers work on the premise that not knowing how to behave means it must be explicitly taught. (Gordon, 1996)

Engaging with the LOB framework leads to a collaboratively developed visual model of behavior management for the classroom.

Levels of Behavior has been shown to facilitate the following outcomes;
• Reducing disruptive classroom behavior
• Building shared understanding of class purpose
• Developing explicit understandings of behavior
that supports class purpose and how it will be
encouraged in class
• Developing understanding of behavior that
impedes progress towards class purpose and
what stakeholders such as students / parents /
teachers can expect will guide teacher decision-
making

The Levels of Behavior Framework is an educative approach and is consistent with proven successful behavior principles and ethos and incorporates effective practices as described in School Wide Positive Behavior Support information.

• Interactive Sessions
1.A set of 12 interactive whiteboard ‘flip’charts for use with students
plus accompanying Teacher information as per ZIP File contents.
2.We also suggest that an A1 LOB Chart be printed as a classroom reference with Behavior Descriptors

• PDF Presentation
1.A PDF Presentation for use with students
2. (LOB Reference Chart needs to be printed A1 or B1 size)

# Included in the TPT ZIP folder are 15 individual files including PDF's, Word docs and Interactive whiteboard flip files for lesson use with students in file formats including SMART, EASITEACH, ACTIVE-INSPIRE as well as a COMMON FILE FORMAT version
