These serve two purposes in your classroom.
First, they align with Whole Brain teaching strategies to have "peanut butter and jelly" partners. Additionally, they align with Kagan Cooperative Learning teaching strategies. The A,B,C,D cards should be placed on student desks. You can then pair your students the following ways:
Peanut butter with a Jelly
Homogeneous: Peanut Butter/Peanut Butter Jelly/Jelly
In jigsaw groups assigned with their letters: A, B, C and D
These can be used to assign group work roles. For example, A's are in charge of materials, B's watch time, etc. It can also be used to call on students during various Kagan strategies.
Also included is a larger sign of Peanut Butter & Jelly. These can be used around the room as a visual reminder for students, or on the carpet for primary students.
