This PBL is designed to take 1-2 weeks. It digs deep into the reading skill of Identifying Theme and uses close reading strategies to uncover the meaning of the song in the lyrics. Students will scan QR codes to listen to the music selections (Let it go, Colors of the wind, Shake it Off, Mean, Am I wrong, and Bare Necessities). In groups, students will create a presentation to help the music teacher (or teacher of your choice) teach a lesson about lyrics and their hidden meanings.
Student will love using music they know to practice reading and identifying theme.
