Use this simple flip book to teach bilabial sounds in words (both true and nonsense). Each initial phoneme (/p, b, m/) includes a visual of a closed mouth. Place these letters on the left side of the flip book. Use the syllable combinations (word families) to have students combine initial bilabials with syllables to form true and nonsense words. These go on the right side of the flip book.
No pictures are given on the syllable strings (so the student is unable to link the word he is used to hearing/saying with what he is being asked to produce). Use this flip book to teach adequate lip closure to you highly unintelligible speakers!
