Product Description
This video assessments and extended response question will give you a good assessment tool as your students watch the documentary "Slavery and the Making of America - Vol 3 Seeds of Distruction" by PBS © 2005. This film does a wonderful job of exhibiting the changes to the institution of slavery in the early 19th century. There are good explanations of the expansion of slavery into new territory, the rise of cotton, the compromises and issues about slavery leading up to the Civil War. These sheets work well as a guided note for viewing the film as well. The extended response question I use as an exit ticket or homework. The answer keys are included in this product for the video questions.

The questions are in chronological order with the film. The entire video is approximately 60 minutes.
