This PDF file will allow your students to experience composition in various forms!
Students will learn the song "Five Fat Turkeys" and students will have the option of composing using a projected image on the whiteboard, students can compose as a class using the large printable turkeys, or students can use the smaller rhythms available to compose four beat rhythms in small groups or as individuals.
With the addition of words assigned to each rhythm, students can perform rhythms with suggested movements or they can decide how the turkeys should move for each word.
Whatever is decided, students will have a gobbling good time figuring how those five turkeys made it through this Thanksgiving!
Rhythms included: Ta, Ti-Ti, rest, quarter note and rest, half note and rest, barred and flagged half notes.
