PDL's Subtraction Lock and Key Exploration for Cuisenaire® Rods 10 reusable activities that are great for all group sizes and as a fun addition to interactive notebooks. The student creates locks using rods and find the missing keys (rods). The activity exposes students to the idea of subtraction in a way that allows them to discover the idea for themselves.
Many of the activities are open ended permitting the student to create their own locks and keys. This makes the activities easily extendable and encourages students to return to the activities often. Designed to be used with Cuisenaire® Rods (not included).
