Product Description

This is PE Activities Set Three which is part of a 4 part series. Set Three utilizes Cones as "equipment or learning tools" to develop locomotor skills and social skills. While the emphasis of Set Three is on locomotor skills and social skills, many other skills are practiced by using these themes of locomotor skills, social skills and drama activities. Each theme is broken into 4 levels. There are 12 activities at each level for each piece of equipment. A sample of the different activity levels for bean bags are list below.

Examples of Hand-eye coordination activities is presented as an example:

(LEVEL 1) throw the bean bag up in the air and catch it 10 times

(LEVEL 2) throw and catch the bean bag while moving

(LEVEL 3) balance the bean bag on one foot and kick your foot up and catch the bean bag

LEVEL 4) See how many ways you can toss the bean bag and still hit the target

There are 48 activities each for locomotor skills, 48 activities for social skills, and 48 drama activities which do not require equipment. The cards in each set are also Levels 1-4.

The cards are sequenced so that each level requires more advanced skills. There are a variety of uses for these cards which allow for differentiated instruction in physical education based on skill acquisition. You can introduce a concept or skill and once a student/s has mastered that skill you simply read the next challenge for more advanced challenges. Each set also allows for use at multiple grade levels by offering both easy and challenging activities. Each set of equipment is represented by different colored activity cards.

The cards are also great for a substitute teacher so you can leave plans to take out a set of bean bags and read challenges off the bean bag designed cards for the class to keep students focused and engaged while outside.

The same is true of a busy teacher. No time for prep? No problem! Just grab a set of the cards and the equipment required and head to the playground for a fun and rewarding experience.
