PE Activity - Instructions and Model (Scramble, Four Corners)

Product Description
This is an wonderful PE Activity that all students enjoy playing. This short video (only 2 minutes 21 seconds) teaches your class how to play the game that we call Scramble. This game is commonly known by many other names including Four Corners.

1. Play the Video in Class so students learn rules and see example. (2:21 mins)
2. The only Materials you need to play include:
- Whistle
- Marked Four Square Boxes (or use chalk or cones to mark location)
3. Go outside and enjoy PE with your class.

This activity is very low maintenance for the teacher. Just show the video, then go outside and blow the whistle a few times and watch your class enjoy their new favorite PE activity!

This is great for the beginning of the year! Then, you and your students can enjoy this fun PE activity all year long.

The video shows an example of one square that includes 5 students playing. When we go outside I spread my class of 25 students over 5 large boxes.

This can also be modified for any number of students. For example, sometimes we use only 4 large areas that have 5 active students, plus one more waiting in line. Students don't mind having only one person in line because the whistle blows again quickly so students do not have to wait long. Whoever does not find a corner is out and stands in line, while the new player enters into the game at the center location. This game allows students run and get their energy out in short sprints while having fun with the whole class.

The video makes this game super easy for students to understand the rules the first time!
