Description

The 1x20 method of strength training is the best option for both youth and beginning lifters!

Developed by Dr. Michael Yessis Ph.D, the 1x20 method will help increase BOTH strength and athletic performance.

I created these workouts to be used as part of my unit on physical literacy, but they can be used to supplement any physical education curriculum unit or sports practice for individual 13 and up. I have also found this resource to be great independent study work that can be used for distance learning.

In addition to teaching high school physical education, I also teach HIIT classes at my local YMCA. These workouts have been embedded into the curriculum I teach there as well. As a credentialed teacher and certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS) I am committed to helping both students and adults improve their health and fitness.

HIIT Cardio Workouts

In this resource I have included four (4) HIIT cardio workouts that can used sequentially or as stand alone workouts. The resource has been designed to get progressively more challenging, but progressions/regressions can be substituted to differentiate ability levels so each participant gains confidence through the completion of the workouts.
