Product Description
PEGS is a great way to teach your students Social Studies. It is a straightforward way for students to analyze civilizations based on four main components: politics (government), economics, geography, and society (culture). Knowing these key aspects of a certain society gives students an anchor for learning about historical events.

This project can introduct your students to PEGS, or can be used as an assessment. The students work collaboratively in groups to create their own society using PEGS. They form a government, make decisions about industry, map their society with its landforms, and determine the societal values. The students make a display for their society and then present it to the class.

The project comes with an explanation for teachers, instructions and questions for students, and a rubric with which to grade their products.
