Math Riddle worksheets are the perfect way to practice new skills. Not only are the riddles clever (and occasionally funny), but they also enable the student to self-assess as they complete the puzzle. If they can’t find their answer on the worksheet or the riddle doesn’t make sense, it’s clear that they made a mistake and need to go back and check their work!
This riddle worksheet contains 20 problems. It includes of a combination of labeled figures and word problems. Some of the problems require the student to find a missing side length using the given measures in the diagram or when given the perimeter.
I prefer to use these worksheets as homework assignments (because they are self-checking), but they can also be used as classwork, partner/group work, or an assessment.
Common Core Standards:
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths and finding an unknown side length.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems.
