Need current topics to stir up interesting and exciting debates or to use as persuasive writing assignments in your class? There are 48 topics in this packet that will create lively discussions/debates that kids relate to. Many are topics currently in the news. School related topics, environmental topics,civics, government issues, parent topics, sports and more.
A worksheet is provided so that students can list "pros" and "cons" as well as their research findings. These may also be used as persuasive writing topics.
