Description

This ❤ Digital Interactive Activity ❤ is an engaging practice of working with “Matrix Operations" . This products has a total of 12 questions assessing the ability to work with Matrices. This activity is great for DIFFERENTIATION.

This activity is self-checking. At the end of the activity, students would have formed a picture. Correct pixel art image implies finding the correct answers. Year after year, my students always enjoy working with "Pixel Art“ activities. They appreciate this type of activity as it allows them to be independent and find their "own mistakes" before seeking any help. These activities are used widely in our "Digital Breakouts" and it is finally time to create its own brand.

This Pixel Art activity requires students to:

☑ Add Matrices

☑ Subtract Matrices

☑ Multiply a Matrix by a Scalar

☑ Perform 2 operations per question - (Please see video above)

Students should feel comfortable with:

☑ Adding Matrices

☑ Subtracting Matrices

☑ Multiplying a Matrix by a scalar

☑ Performing 2 operations per question - (Please see video above)

☑ "Undefined" case

This Pixel Art activity has 2 Options (Same set of questions):

Option 1: Enter the value as instructed in the directions (See Video above)

Option 2: Choose from an Answer Bank (See Video above)

Please Note:

This Pixel Art is LEVEL 2 due to the fact that students would need to perform 2 (or more) operations per question. If you're looking for ONE operation per question, please checkout LEVEL 1.

** Please make sure to read instructions as students have to enter each element of the matrix in its specific cell when working with option 1. My students have been feeling very comfortable with this format. I personally like it as it emphesizes the meaning of each entry in the resulting matrix. You may need to model an example **

In this activity students will be using Google Sheet. This activity is not editable. Some students used their computers, some used their phones, while others used their IPADs. As long as there is a Google Drive there is a way.

I used this activity during "Remote Learning" (With a sub via google classroom in one of the cases) and my students were very appreciative of it.

This activity includes the followings:

☑ Instructions on how to obtain the Google Interactive Activity

☑ 1 Activity

☑ Answer Key

☑ Design 1: Cardinal

☑ Design 2: Island (Same set of questions)

This activity is great because:

IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK (Illustrated in the preview above)

☑ No Prep is needed

☑ 100% Digital

☑ 100% Interactive

☑ Engaging

LOVED BY STUDENTS ... I heard my students saying that this is their favorite type
