NEVER BEFORE HAVE YOU SEEN A POWERPOINT LIKE THIS!!!
I have spent at least 18 hours creating this one PowerPoint. WHY? I have a FLIPPED CLASSROOM and understand that students must be engaged in what they see to want to learn. My students can't get enough of these highly engaging PowerPoint because they are all ANIMATED with VIDEO CLIPS, and done in a game style format. This activity can easily be used in any classroom for a fun lesson to teach this content. I also use this as a reference tool for students to continuously refer to if they need a refresher. This activity also differentiates the needs of my diverse learners.
The focus of this lesson is NARRATIVE POINT OF VIEW. Students are introduced to first-person, second-person, and third=person (omniscient and limited) points of view. They are engaged because they become "Detectives" on the hunt for the "Point of View Gang" who are responsible writing the different perspectives found in stories. YouTube clips are included inside this PowerPoint that reinforce their understanding of POINT OF VIEW. Students are asked to independently create their own working definition of Point of View in a fun and interactive way.
INCLUDED INSIDE THE POWERPOINT:
*Make printables from the PowerPoint slides to help reinforce student learning.
*"I can" statements to help students focus their learning.
*Hyperlinked screen to help students "jump" to their area of need.
*Challenging journal questions at the end to prove student understanding.
*Student Practice: Students are given practice opportunities to help them reinforce their learning.
This activity an ADVANCED POWERPOINT and works for computers that have PowerPoint Version 2010 or 2012.
Due to the large file size I could not get the videos and animations to work on the preview. They will all work on the purchased versions though.
