Learning sight words is very important for young readers so that they can become fluent readers.
This game provides a fun way to practice reading sight words!
The words used in this game are from the Dolch Primer word-list. There are 52 words in all.
The game can be played in partners, small groups or even with the whole class. Directions are included on page 3.
I've included a list of the words in a checklist format to keep track of student progress. This can be found on page 14. Make copies for your classroom use - as needed.
I've also added super hero character cards for students to collect as they master the words. Example: Every time they master 10 words, they can collect a super hero! There are 5 super heroes in all! They can be found on page 15.
