Eureka Math is a free curriculum that can be found at GreatMinds.org. I did not write this curriculum. I am selling my time and creativity in creating a PPT supplement to help teachers teach the curriculum and manage their class time.
**NOW WITH FLUENCY, PROBLEM SETS, APPLICATION PROBLEMS, I CAN STATEMENTS, DEBRIEFS, EXIT TICKETS, and LESSON LINKS (You must be in Slide Show/Presentation Mode for the links to work.)!**
This is a PowerPoint resource that will help you teach the Concept Development section of Eureka Math's "A Story of Units" for Fourth Grade Module 1. It includes slides for each lesson with the needed place value charts, number lines, etc. It also includes I Can Statements, Application Problems, Problem Sets, Debriefs, Exit Tickes, and review slides at the beginning of each new lesson. This will keep your kids on their toes with all the skills they are learning. " If you don't use it, you lose it!"
I began creating these PowerPoints to help me manage my class time. When I first started teaching the modules, I had a very difficult time getting it all in, and Concept Development took up most of my class time. I used a set of PPTs I had purchased with hundreds of slides to click through. I felt very disorganized with so many slides, and it was a distraction for my kids. That's when I decided to make my own. I have made my slides clean, simple, and to the point. They are set up so that I can model problem solving for my kids rather than the PPT being so busy with "stuff". I am able to teach my lessons in the time allotted, and my kids have been more excited about math than any class I have taught before. They especially love the pictures and messages on each slide!
*Tip: I print each lesson with three slides to a page so that it gives lines for taking notes beside each slide. I make myself notes, reminders, and teaching tips. I keep these in a binder that has a divider for each Module. It makes lesson planning so simple!
**I am currently working on adding Fluency to all 4th grade modules. I hope to have this complete by January 2017.
***This product is intended to be used with an interactive white board so that it is possible to annotate over the desk top. However, it could be used if projected on the whiteboard so it can still be interactive.
