Tired of hearing, "I lost my pencil" or the pencil sharpener working overtime?
This is a team-building, community-minded, environmentally spirited bunch of activities. The activities are all related and piggyback in a sequential way.Instructions for making the pencil forest are included.
Students will learn how to be responsible for one's school belongings and be responsible for the environment. They will learn how to work together for a common cause and to "give back" to society by helping others. They will learn where pencils come from, how they are made, and the various jobs/workers involved in the pencil production process.
Students can "see & feel" what it's like to be a pencil from the perspective of "Penny Pencil", a personification of a pencil. Mike Thaler is the author of this delightful tale. This is one of his earliest books- you may recognize him as the author of the "Black Lagoon" series. The book is not included. Research has been done for you...lots of resources, links, and info included in this product, ready to be printed out. Pages nicely contained in a 3-hole punched vinyl clear view holder.
A little math, but mostly literature, social studies, science themed.
I have added 4 more pages for graphing pencil "shrinkage".
This product is “no prep”… the printing has been done! It’s being sold as a “hard good”, so you get it in the mail already prepared for you.
Most of my hard products (single product or combination of products) that have 10-40 pages in total incur a shipping and handling fee of $2.00. For instance, if you buy one product with 24 pages and another with 16 pages, you will have 2 products with a total of 40 pages. You will be charged $2.00 for both (they will come in the same package), not $2.00 for each. This pricing applies to mailing destinations within the continental United States. I can make other mailing arrangements for those of you who need this to be mailed outside of the continental United States.
