This is a fun lesson designed to help learners understand and calculate the probability of dependent and independent events happening. To begin the PowerPoint revises the 'and' and 'or' rule of probability and its link with multiply and adding fractions. It then demonstrates how probability trees are constructed and how calculations are drawn from these.
The PowerPoint offers questions for learners to practise drawing probability trees, along with answers supplied after every click. I hope this PowerPoint reduces the need to print and offers a good source of revision.
Learning aims are also included so students can measure their level of understanding and success in class. A lesson I have enjoyed teaching.
