This is a test prep packet that is primarily focused on the concept of Experimental Probability. The packet consists of four multiple choice questions and a constructed response (open-ended) question. This packet will allow your students to practice applying the following test-taking strategies:
- Using process-of-elimination to select the appropriate choice.
- Determining key words/details in a word problem
- Providing specific details to explain math problem-solving processes for determining your work.
I use this packet with my students during our Guided Math block, which is about 30-40 minutes per day. As a way to pace the lesson, I have my students complete one question per day. Depending how your class schedule is structured, you may use this packet as an assessment, a challenge activity/center, or a math warm-up.
