With this Spring Rebus Puzzle entitled "Spring Is Here,"students write words underneath rebus pictures to end up with a story about Spring. It's about a boy who sees an apple tree, then he sees two nests, then eggs, but then something sees him. Your students might be surprised by what surprises him and how he gets away. Students will have to rely on their phonetic skills to encode (spell) the words under the pictures. They will also have to decide when to use to, too, or two. The worksheet is a worthwhile reading and writing activity that is also suitable for the Spring season. The second page is a replica of the puzzle with the answers filled in.
