Help students to visualize mathematical concepts rather than just memorize formulas. Too often we use direct instruction to present important mathematical concepts such as the Pythagoras Theorem and then wonder why students are not able to apply the theorem in different situations.
Students will address the question, "How are right triangle relationships useful in solving real world problems?"
Where is the Horizon? allows students to explore four different situations where the theorem would be practically used in real life situations.
Then students are given questions to help them reflect on the concept they were using.
Included is the project booklet and a rubric for assessment.
I have also included the answer key with all steps shown!
