In this lesson students will learn how to make a simplified version of “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”, the famous Japanese woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai, 1830.
Lessons are step-by-step and designed for success regardless of the student’s skill level. I have done this painting with every age from preschool to senior citizens and it has always produced great results.
This lesson is designed to take 30 minutes to complete.
The sample is made using white oil pastel and watercolor paint on 8.5 x 11” cardstock paper. Feel free to use other media if you prefer.
