These are 6 variations of creating painted paper - one for each grade level. I use these instruction sheets taped to each table when creating painted paper with my students. I also write them on the board and use them as a reminder of the steps for myself.
The finished results can be used for collage or as backgrounds for printmaking or drawing.
When I create painted paper with students, I use cups of paint - each with their own brush (or two), usually grouped by color so each table has one color family. This results in a rainbow of painted paper to use for projects. I also use 80lb 12x18 paper and don't worry about putting names on papers - we share all the paper later (and I usually cut them down to 9x12 or smaller).
