Suggested lesson for this activity:
After defining homophones and creating a list of homophones with students, students work independently on the Pair of Pears activity.
Students choose a homophone (ex: see, sea), write the word in each of the pears, then draw a picture to illustrate the word. Students cut the pears out and glue them onto a large piece of butcher or chart paper and the class set of homophones is displayed in the classroom. Students share out.
