Paired number tables can be very difficult for students to understand. I have created an activity that gives them some concrete practice investigating and extending these tables. By being able to see the objects and physically count them, the kids will more firmly grasp the concept. This can be used as a group work activity, individual activity or as a math station. After completing the activity, there are two word problem worksheets to help walk them through function tables.
1 paired number investigation activity (stations)
1 word problem worksheet (tables provided)
1 word problem worksheet (students draw the tables)
