This resource is a great way for students to analyze authentic texts for similarities and differences from a variety of perspectives. It can be used with any genre and repeated with new texts! I used it to introduce the idea of analyzing paired texts and then I had students use this sheet during stations. Once it has been practiced thoroughly, it could also be used as a homework resource. I am a big believer in using real, authentic text and staying away from worksheets as much as possible, so graphic organizers are always my go-to way to ensure that thinking is being made visible and that students are able to see and practice the skill multiple times through various texts.
