Paired texts target advanced reading comprehension skills by having students read two texts related to the same topic. This paired texts bundle contains multiple resources for teaching students how to read paired texts and respond to a prompt based on the two passages.
This bundle includes:
1. A 40-slide PowerPoint
5 pairs of passages with 5 prompts! At least one strong essay and one weak essay is included for students to analyze after they have written their own response for each prompt. (This PowerPoint could be used over the course of 5 days!!)
2. A 10-page PowerPoint Companion Handout
3. A Compare and Contrast Craftivity
4. A Practice Assessment Packet containing 4 pairs of passages and 4prompts
These materials were created to help prepare upper elementary and middle school students for writing tests in which they have to read paired passages and write a response.
