In this lesson students will work as paleontologists to answer the essential question:

What can fossils tell us about Earth's past?

The lesson begins with online career exploration resources to learn about a career as a paleontologist. Students then work to solve a Pangea puzzle, discovering the supercontinent of Pangea! After learning more about Pangea, students then use online resources to search for fossil evidence of Pangea, and add it to their puzzles. This activity supports NGSS MS-ESS2-3. Purchase includes:
