In this lesson students will read two myths of ancient Greece - the story of Pandora's Box and the story of Narcissus. For each, students will be asked to identify character traits and textual support. Also for each, students will be practice different strategy for each; summarizing the text for Narcissus and identifying the theme for Pandora. A teacher model for each strategy is is included within the lesson. Lastly, students will complete graphic organizer comparing the characters of Narcissus and Pandora, and then are expected to express these similarities and differences in a paragraph of their own words.
