In our latest Music Fundamentals story, a family of polar bears is trying to help their cub to sleep. As the title suggests, Papa uses a crescendo throughout his lullaby and is unsuccessful. Mama tries with a decrescendo and has success. Included in the story is the notation for the lullaby so students can practice and sing along with their teacher as he or she sings it in the story. We have included an explanation of what crescendo and decrescendo mean and what they look like as well. After hearing the story, and singing the crescendo and decrescendo, move on to one of the two included activities in order to reinforce the concept. As always, the resource is fully printable if you don't have the capability or desire to use as a projectable ebook.
We hope you enjoy this music fundamentals resource and encourage you to leave us feedback after purchasing. Thanks and have a musical day!
