Paper Airplane Measurement Conversion Activity - Freebie!

- PDF (2 pages)

Description
Here is a fun FREE activity that will help your students master distance measurement conversions. Have your students come up with a paper airplane design. Then it is time to get outside and test out their prototypes! Using measuring tape, yard sticks, or meter sticks, partners will measure how far each of their planes traveled. Students can work cooperatively to create a far-reaching design, or they can have a bit of fun competing to see whose plane can fly farther! After three flights each, students will convert their measurements in both the metric and US customary systems. This worksheet comes with several word problems working with the data they collect. Our students LOVE this activity and we are sure yours will, too!
