Kids always love building paper airplanes, why not turn it into an engineering lesson?
This product challenges students to design a paper airplane that can fly further than their peers. It walks students through the engineering design process and requires them to think about their plan before they begin building. When I taught this with my class, I did a quick lesson on aerodynamics before students began designing their planes. This helped them take the four forces in flight (lift, drag, thrust, and weight) into consideration.
