Paper Clippin' Articulation! A NO PREP Resource!
Designed for drilling articulation sounds.

Do you need a quick drill activity that that is no prep & ink friendly?
Do you do 5-10 minute quick articulation sessions or drills?
If you answered yes to either question you NEED Paper Clippin’ Articulation!

This activity was designed to be a simple, no-prep activity to target articulation for an engaging drill activity. This version includes the following sounds: Initial/final: p/b/mj (for bilabials and final consonants), final t, d, n (for final consonants), initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v, l, s, z, sh, ch, j, th, lblends, , sblends (sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed), pre-vocalic r, er, or, ar, air, ear, & rblends. I also included blank open-ended pages.

Please note: There are 10 target words per page, the images are duplicated to make 20 total images.

Materials Needed: Paper clip pages (by target phoneme), large or small paper clips.
Optional: bingo dotters

Assembly: None! Just print and go. When printing the full page version, make sure you do not print a border around the page. If the paper clips are not directly on the edge of the paper, simply trim it off (some printers/programs make it difficult to get it right to the edge). I use Adobe Pro and print “fit to page” and no border. The small paper clip pages will have to be cut out and trimmed (tip: use a paper cutter!).

How I use it: Choose the large or the small paper clip pages. Practice each word and dot or color it (20 trials). Practice each word 3X (60 trials) and place a paperclip on the paper (over the paperclip image). After the page is full, practice each word 3 more times (60 trials) as you take the paper clips off. For extra fun have the students link the paper clips to make a chain as they take them off. Total trials: 140
