This activity is about teaching formal and informal writing through standardized test prep questions, but is best used if students have some knowledge of what formal and informal writing are. It does not go in-depth of how to decide if something is informal/formal, but gives students tools and general ideas of how to identify formal/informal language through standardized test prep questions.
Organize into three parts (Answer questions with teacher, answer questions in partners, and answer questions alone). It's 10 page with 5 pages being an answer key.
You will need to have the book, Paper Towns, to complete this activity.
