A set of 4 printable templates for animal masks: cat, dog, wolf/fox and cow. The kids colour them, cut them out, tape into a curved shape to fit the face, then add string. It's a great project that captures interest of everyone (even those hard-to-engage boys). I created them originally for a school concert where the kids were singing songs about animals and they looked super cute.
Tips for teaching: Remember to print them on 11x17 paper so they'll be big enough to the kids' heads. Colouring is first, then cutting out, including the eye holes. Then, you'll notice on each head there are four dark lines pointing down from around the ears towards the eyes. Cut these, then overlap them and tape in place -- this will create a curve to the mask to fit the head. I also recommend putting tape where the string holes will be, then using a hole puncher to punch through the holes (makes it stronger).
