What You Get:
You will get access to a Google Drive Slides presentation. There are 26 slides or pages in total, one for each letter of the alphabet. Each page has students sort the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. This activity is hands on having students drag and drop the letter tiles. You will also get:
♥ Instructions on how to use this product
♥ Instructions on how to move Google Drive products to other platforms including MS OneDrive, Schoology, Notability, Nearlod, Canvas, Edmodo, Blackboard, Pic Collage, Padlet, Evernote, and Seesaw.
♥ You will also get a PDF copy of this product so that you can print out and laminate the sorting mats (if you would like). This does not come in black and white and it does not come with any sort of letters (you would need to use them with your own letter tiles, foam letters, magnetic letters, or printed tiles).
Paperless? Google Drive?
This product has been created as a paperless product to use on Google Drive (or other platforms). In order for it to work for you and your classroom you would need access to a computer, Chromebook, iPad, or other electronic device. While there is a copy to print off, this product is primarily for a paperless experience.
Who is it for?
This activity is fantastic for teachers with paperless classrooms or who are seeking ways to reduce paper in the classroom or increase their use of technology. It is also excellent for homeschoolers and can really reduce the prep work that can be associated with "centers" because it's all set up online waiting for you!
This product only covers sorting letters into a target letter and an other letter category. It does cover a few different fonts and is great practice, but it's target age range is 3 to 6 and is best for preschoolers and kindergarteners.
This product covers the alphabet.
How to Use It:
To use this product you will log in to your Google Account, make a copy of it, and share it with your students. Each student moves the tiles around on their own copy of the Google Drive Slides presentation to complete the work. There is more information about what is required to use this product in the preview!
Getting Creative With It:
This product can also be set up on a computer (or other device) as a center where students move into the center, sort the letters, and then leave for regular letter sorting practice.
