Pídeles a tus estudiantes que escriban un poema diamante. Un diamante es un poema especial que hace uso de una estructura simple, lo que resulta en un poema en forma de diamante.
This lesson encourages students to consider parts of speech as they construct a poem in the shape of a diamond, following a more or less complex structure.
I've had great success with this lesson near Valentine's Day, encouraging students to write and print out poems (in color, with embellishments) about other teachers in the school (keep it positive!). Those other teachers hung the posters on their doors and bulletin boards, creating a wonderful collaboration between subject areas.
Included are links to explanations of the parts of speech (with examples) and a list of the 100 most commonly used adjectives in Spanish.
