Objective: Students will show their ability to identify characteristics of parabolas from equations and graphs. Students will also show ability to write an equation of a parabola in vertex form from the graph of a parabola.
CUSTOMIZE!!! The activity includes equations and graphs and blank worksheets that you can print and write your own equations and graphs for specialized practice.
*Divide students into small groups (2 or 3) and give each group a large piece of paper and 1 parabola question (see included photo) Have group complete 3-4 questions making sure they get all aspects of the current problem correct before the next question.
*Give students blank cut up sections and have them write the equation or draw a graph. Then exchange with student to complete and have a third student verify.
*Use as a TOTD
*Make a great review sheet, class notes, or homework assignment
