Let students practice their critical thinking skills by placing the supporting sentences from this descriptive paragraph in order using spatial arrangement. Students are given a topic sentence and then asked to arrange the remaining sentences in the most logical order. Clues are given through the use of transitional or placement words such as "to the left," "in front of," etc. The handout is typed where it could easily be cut and students handed strips of paper if you want to use it in class. I often use it in this manner as group work.
