Description

*Includes both printable and digital GOOGLE Slides versions.

This parallel lines, transversals and angles poster doubles as a coloring page for student notebooks. Angle pairs include: corresponding, alternate exterior, vertical, same side interior, alternate interior and same side exterior angles.

The file includes 4 versions of the poster - 1 ready for students to color, 1 that uses patterns instead of color so that it can be printed in black and white, 1 that is already in full color and a new digital version on Google Slides.

The digital version can be used as notes for teaching parallel line angle pairs. The colorful angles are movable drag-and-drop pieces. The file can be used to teach or can be sent to students as a reference or for practice.

Prove theorems about lines and angles.
Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
