I use Scavenger Hunts to review a lot of different subjects in my classes. This one reviews the relationships of angles formed when a transversal intersects two or more parallel lines. It has 18 problems with varying degrees of difficulty. It's a great way to combine Algebra and Geometry skills.
I have two Scavenger Hunts that deal with the angles formed when parallel lines are cut by a transversal. Both have students set up equations based on the relationship of the angles. This one simply has them solve for x, and each problem has a figure to show the lines. The other asks the students to identify angles by the three letters (some students find that difficult), set up the equation, and solve. Once they have the value for x, they must substitute that value back in and find the measure of the angle. This second Scavenger Hunt can be found here: Parallel Lines cut by a Transversal Scavenger Hunt
Students have fun with Scavenger Hunts. They try hard to find the correct answer so their team can finish first!
It includes instructions of how to use the Scavenger Hunt, a worksheet that students can use to record their answers, and a homework worksheet that reviews the same subject.
