Description

Get your students working with angle pairs formed when parallel lines are cut by a transversal with this set of 20 digital task cards. It's a great way to help your geometry students practice identifying angle pairs and finding missing angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal. Students LOVE getting instant feedback on their answers!

New to Boom Cards™? Check out the preview to see how they work! You can test the first few cards for free.

Students must be able to use relationships between angle pairs (corresponding, alternate interior, alternate exterior, consecutive interior, vertical angles, and linear pairs) to find missing angles and to solve equations. Students must be able to solve multi-step equations and equations with variables on both sides.

Save 20% by purchasing this resource as part of my Geometry Boom Cards Bundle.

Boom Cards™ work on just about any device that can access the internet. They're self-checking and you can even track student progress through Boom Learning℠! You can assign Boom Cards to individual students, groups of students, or use with a projector for the whole class. Check out the preview to test out the first few cards! Make sure to open the full-size preview and hit submit to get instant feedback on your answer. The links in the preview also include step-by-step directions for getting started if you're new to using Boom Learning.

Use facts about supplementary, complementary, vertical, and adjacent angles in a multi-step problem to write and solve simple equations for an unknown angle in a figure.
Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
