7 pages included: 1 Title Page, 2 Page Foldable, 1 Page of Parallel Lines and Transversals Cards, 2 Page Student Recording Sheet, 1 Answer Key
Foldable: The foldable can be filled in by students on the day the content is learned. Angles formed by parallel lines are included (corresponding, alternate interior, alternate exterior, consecutive interior (same-side interior). Vertical angles and linear pairs are included but mentioned as other angle relationships that can be supplementary or congruent but do not require parallel lines. This foldable is small enough to place into an interactive notebook.
Activity: 8 Parallel Lines and Transversals Cards are given with problems. Problems include variables on one side of the equation and variables on both sides of the equations. The activity can be used as a card sort or as task cards.
If used as a card sort, the cards can be sorted according to the angle relationship or if the angles are supplementary or congruent. Cards could then be placed in an interactive notebook.
If used as a task card activity, then the cards can be cut out and hung around the room. Students can then rotate to each card to solve and fill out their Student Recording Sheet. On the Student Recording Sheet students must first decide what type of angles are given, if they are congruent or supplementary, and then finally they must set the equation up and solve for x.
