  1. If your students are like mine, they can have a difficult time with essential knowledge when learning about parallel lines cut by a transversal. I have found that identifying the transversal, the special angle pair name, and the special angle pair property are all vital for students to know before t
  2. Partners check each other as they examine slope and equations of lines to determine if two lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. This is a self-checking worksheet assigned to pairs of students. Each student works their own unique problem. Their partner's corresponding problems should yield
  3. In this scavenger hunt, students review common concepts covered in a parallel and perpendicular lines unit in high school geometry. Students will need to know how to: -Identify parallel, perpendicular, and skew lines and planes -Apply angle properties of special angle pairs formed by parallel lines
  4. In this Level Up! activity, students work through problems that get progressively more challenging, but all deal with parallel lines cut by a transversal and applying special angle pair properties. The activity progression: >Finding missing angle measures and solving linear equations >Finding
Bundle Description
This bundle includes the following four activities:
1)Parallel Lines Cut by a Transversal Card Sort
2)Parallel Lines Cut by a Transversal - Level Up! Activity
3)Parallel, Perpendicular, or Neither - Partner Worksheet
4)Parallel, Perpendicular, and Transversals Review Scavenger Hunt

Each activity is slightly different to give variety to how students engage with their learning. The first activity is great for introducing special angle pairs formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal. The second activity is for applying properties of special angle pairs. The third activity allows students to practice identifying if lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither while working with a partner. The fourth activity is to be used as a review of the entire parallel and perpendicular lines unit (please see that activity's link to see what all is covered in the scavenger hunt).
