Seeing inconsistent tense usage pop up in students' papers or assignments? Need a refresher on using parallel structure in sentences?
This is a great double-sided practice sheet that can supplement your own curriculum, or just provide enrichment for students.
At the top of the worksheet, I provide examples and explanations for parallel structure.
Students are asked to completely rewrite sentences that demonstrate inconsistent verb use. In addition, they are also asked to align the second verb with the first verb in a sentence, and write the new verb on a line, and finally, they are asked to write a paragraph using parallel structure, in which they will highlight the verbs to show alignment.
Answer key provided for the first two activities.
