Students have to find the equation of a line that is parallel or perpendicular to a given line through a point. This lesson has the students plot the original line, the point, and apply the slope. They will use the graph to find the equation of the line. This lesson is done before students use equations to find the y-intercept and write the equation.

My intended audience is my geometry class. These students have not had an algebra class yet.
