Practice graphing skills while gaining a better understanding of parallel and perpendicular lines with this activity.
I created this activity to use at the beginning of the year in Geometry, so students could practice graphing and creating shapes on a graph. Through these exercises, students can review and better understand these topics:
-Graphing from slope-intercept form
-Graphing from standard form
-Domain and range
-Parallel and perpendicular slopes
In the download, you will receive the 3 pages of student work and answer keys. Four exercises ask students to graph equations with given domains or ranges to create polygons. They then identify the polygons and any parallel or perpendicular lines. Two sets of equations are in slope-intercept form, and two sets are in standard form. The last student page asks students to create their own equations and polygons.
