The attached MS PowerPoint slideshow describes in detail the steps I have my 8th grade and Math 1/Algebra 1 students (typically 9th graders) use to solve both parallel and perpendicular lines. It includes the algebraic and graphical solution (6 graphs are included) steps to solve both types of lines. This presentation is classroom-tested. It can be used in any grade level and given the animations contained in the ppt presentation, it is easy for separate setting/co-taught EC students to understand. This ppt presentation is fully animated to keep the students engaged and the presenter (teacher) can modify the animations as desired. The last slide includes 4 practice example problems for the students to complete.
